NITRO ROMANIAN CUP 2013

The Romanian NITRO Cup is a annual competition for 1/10th scale IC and 1/8th scale IC on-road nitro cars. It is a private event with important prizes and the rules are kept as simple and as fair as possible for the drivers.
We expect fair behavior and sportsmanship from all the drivers. Entries are limited to 60 drivers per class, if the number of entries in one class is lower than 60 the other class can be supplemented.

Prizes:
1/8 IC: 1000 euro for 1st place , 700 euro for 2nd place and 400 euro for 3rd place.
1/10IC: 1000 euro for 1st place , 700 euro for 2nd place and 400 euro for 3rd place.

Timetable
 Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday the track is open for free practice local track fees apply 5eur/day/pilot.
 Friday 9:00 AM the competition starts with timed practice and 2 rounds of qualification.
 Saturday 9:00AM-20:00PM Qualification + Semifinals.
 Sunday 9:00AM Semifinals + Finals.

Race Procedure

Timed Practice
 2 rounds of free practice 5 minutes+3 minutes warm-up ,counting the average of the best 3 consecutive laps.
Qualification
 4 rounds of qualification for every pilot the rounds will be 5minute+3 minutes warm-up. The best round out of 4 will determine the qualification standing.
Finals
 The finals will be raced according to the christmas tree style.
 The duration of the finals will be 45 minutes, for semifinals and quarter finals 20 minutes and for lower finals 10 minutes. The drivers with the ranked 1,2,3,4 in the sub-final will move up to the next round of finals.
 Drivers from the main final can request 10 minutes delay but only before the drivers have been called to the starting grid.

Tires
For this pilot event tires are not imposed. However, the Romanian Cup partner AutoRC Hobby Store can provide tires with pre-order from the following brands Xceed / Contact / RB at the following prices that includes VAT.

1/10 IC
Xceed - 15 euro/set (front + rear).
Contact – 15 euro/set (front + rear).
RB – 15 euro/set (front + rear).

1/8IC
Xceed – 24 euro/set (front + rear).
Contact – 24 euro/set (front + rear).
RB – 24 euro/set (front + rear).

Fuel tank: Max. 125 ml incl. fuel tube.
Body: All current LMP 1/8th scale bodies EFRA approved.
Engine: Max. 3,5 ccm.
Exhaust: EFRA approved
Carburetor: Max. 9.0 mm intake diameter.
INS-box: Regular EFRA approved INS-Box is mandatory.
Fuel: May only contain methanol, lubricating oil and nitro methane (25%).

Width: Max. 200 mm (without body).
Height: Min. 120 mm on 10mm blocks.
Weight: Min.1650 g incl. transponder and with empty fuel tank.
Fuel tank: Max. 75 ml incl. fuel tube.
Body: Regular 200 mm touring car bodies.

Cut-outs:
Rear of the body not higher than 50 mm on 10 mm blocks.
Cooling / refueling-hole: max. 60 mm; front side window and rear window can be cut out.
Wing: Max. depth 55 mm; not higher than the roof.
Side dams: Max. 55 mm x 35 mm.
Engine: Max. 2,11 ccm / 3-ports.
Exhaust: EFRA approved.
Carburetor: Max. 5.5 mm intake diameter.
INS-box: Regular EFRA approved INS-box is mandatory.
Fuel: May only contain methanol, lubricating oil and nitro methane (16%).

The registered drivers are asked to send a confirmation of their attendance with a minimum of 15 days prior to the race (with plane ticket or booking confirmation). This way we can unlock entries from the waiting list.
